The work GOLDEN MOUNTAIN is inspired by a novel by Jorge Luis Borges that creates the idea of "re-patterning an illusionary world". Formations of icelandic mountain landscapes are used to reconstruct the massive shapes of mountains by relating them to the transient material of a golden foil. Formed by the wind the photographs show the reconstruction of nature as well as it's absence. The covered reality becomes an abstract form or a possible shape of it and plays along the border between fiction and reality.
