The research-based project FEVER deals with the topic of desertness, evoking a planet-centric, intimate experience of an emotional geography led by the desert.

Set as a multi-dimensional post-internet fable, the installation invites visitors to delve into the world of extreme conditions and planetary (over)thinking in a more-than human world. Observing several fever states, some of a body’s extreme conditions, FEVER is a journey through fictional desert defense systems and hydrofeminist venom milking dreams with references to apocalyptic game culture and spiritual quests. On two floors FEVER creates an artificial sweat-heat-cycle between the exposed objects and the visitors, understanding the desert as a state of mind.

Based on a research on virtual and gravital desert environments, the exhibition marks a site-specific draft, an installation combining elements of sound, fragrance, image, 3d-printed and glass objects to create a multi-sensory experience between the obscure and the profound, between techno-shamanism and fiction.
